I bought this cable to make 30ft. length dog leashes for the dog run in my yard. I got tired of replacing the flimsy ones that you buy at the pet store. The vinyl cracks, the 1/8th inch wire rusts and before you know it, it breaks. This cable is made with stainless steel that is 3/16" thick inside the vinyl coating. It is also very flexible, more flexible than the thinner junk you get from the pet store.. So far it's performing great for me! Highly recommend this stuff if you want to make your own dog runs..
