I wasn't expecting this set to be as nice as it is. I am a 27 year MOPAR tech. I have replaced many 3.6l cylinder heads and replaced just as many camshafts, phasers and lifters as well! The tools in this kit are exact replicas of what the factory special tools look like. However, these have a meatier construction. I don't currently have a head or cams to replace at the moment but I feel confident that this set will do a great job in dealing with the timing chain tensioners and not break in the process.

Includes everything you need to replace cams on a Pentastar, at an excellent price no less. Set engine at TDC, get the VC off, install the cam lock, compress the chain tensioner, pin it once compressed, remove phaser bolt, slide phaser forwards off of the cam, R&R your cam/rockers, reverse procedure for reassembly.

This Pentastar can timing tool is a very good match to a name brand tool. The tools themselves are made of a dense hard plastic and should hold up well. The kit comes with all the tools you need to work on your cams. The tools will function as intended and are slotted appropriately. The case is on the cheap side but is the least important part of the kit. There are no instructions on how to use the tools but there is plenty of information out there on how to work on your Pentastar cams. These tools are a good value and I would recommend them.

Used on a dodge charger. Came in handy for the dreaded rocker arm tick. Does come with both 2011 only years tool and the 2012+ model year tool. Just gotta make sure you know which is which. Other than that , a pretty solid and useful item added to my collection for future use.
