I really wanted to love this Starlink roof mount. It looks well-designed, fit my Mini perfectly, and took only about three minutes to assemble. I originally intended it for the roof of my van and really liked the clear plastic sheet that covers and protects the Dishy. However, when I attached it to the roof using the suction cups, I found that the surface needed to be perfectly clean—otherwise, the suction cups would release within a couple of hours. it's not always practical to thoroughly clean the van roof every time nor can you be certain of the reliability of the attachment , I ended up switching to a mount that uses magnets instead. It would be ideal if this product were available with both suction cups and magnetic attachments, giving users more flexibility depending on their needs..

Great mount overall if you need this style for like a moonroof or skylight or something specific where it would mount above. However, I wouldn't rely on suction cups for a permanent mount for anything no matter what.

Really well made plexiglass mount here - this will not only protect the antenna but also make it really, really hard to try and steal. The mounts for the suction cups are threaded inserts melted into the plastic, and the suction cup mechanism is thick and robust - I don't know how much I would want to adjust these at -40C though. The suction cups are very strong, but you will need a very clean surface to mount them to - I stuck them to the windshield, can't speak to how gentle they may or may not be on paint. Not something I would drive around with - YMMV - this is for camping.

3-in-1 Starlink mini mount with cover, suction cups and roof rack bracket. My starlink is the perfect fit for this case, and it was easy to put it in. The case is made of transparent plexiglass that is of solid construction. It will be suitable for outdoor use, will likely protect from most weather conditions, apart from pouring rain, but definitely would shield it from a drizzle and debris. It's a bit bulky, like any good protective phone case, but it still fits in the starlink fitted aftermarket hard case. The suction cups are quite strong, I put it vertically on my window, and it stayed put without moving anywhere. Instead, it took effort to pull the suction cups off the glass.Installation is easy, and you likely won't need to take it out of the case, because it is not really in the way of accessing any of the ports. There are no actual brackets in the kit. Hardware comes with extra bolts with fillers that you can mount on different racking systems.
