Seller obviously doesn’t look to inspect their products before shipping to customers. This was a horrible waste of time. I even contacted Jeff Babicz to report these issues with the same pictures.

Bought the Telecaster bridge shim to compensate for a shallow neck pocket (re-routing the neck pocket is not an option). The product doesn’t even come close to matching the standard Tele or a modern Tele bridge baseplate. They’ll take it back but you get to pay the return postage. Poor design, compounded by arrogant customer service.

I switched out a cheap high mass bridge with brass saddles on a Mexican Jass bass for this because the big saddles wouldn't let me get the action where I wanted.Be aware, this is not a high-mass bridge. It is a very low-mass bridge designed specifically to transmit all the string energy to the body. It sustains for days. BUT. In comparison with the brass saddle bridge, it's clear and open tonally, rather than the warm brassy punchiness. If you're playing in a rock or blues context ... a high-mass bridge with brass saddles will probably get you where you want to be cheaper and easier. This bridge is ingenious. The sound is less colored by metal. More organic. Sustain to spare. Less mid (bass) range punchy. I'm using it to play classical music transcriptions and the open sound makes sense. I think it would suit jazz and prog and settings where you want a neutral starting point to color the sound. But if you're looking to sound like James Jamerson or Geddy Lee ... a high-mass bridge is probably a better starting point.

This bridge is the best I have seen and used in my 40 years of playing. It beefed up my Fender Jazz bass with more distinct tone and sustainThe added locking intonation and string height locking screws are a added bonus on the mass bridge. It was very easy it install. The mounting holes from the original Fender bridge lined up perfect. Thanks Babicz....I may buy another for one my Fender Precision Bass.

I have to admit, I was a skeptic. I listened to the people say that the bridge was just a placebo effect, it didn't really change the sound that drastically. I was really looking for a vanity upgrade to make my Squire Jag look less cheap. The theory behind the Babicz made sense from an engineering stand point, so I chose it. Right away after installing it, while I was restringing it and setting the intonation (I purposely used my old strings and saddle height to get a comparison effect), I could hear the difference. Unamplified, the amount of sound out of the guitar was increased. The tone resonated from the body louder and clearer. When I put the guitar on, still unamplified, I could feel the resonance from the body of the guitar through my chest. Something that was never there before. Amplified, tone was stronger, cleaner, and sustain was infinite. For those who say that the $5 gum ball machine bent steel stock bridge is just as good, you obviously haven't used this bridge.UPDATE: I still love this bridge, so much so that I installed one on my daughters little Ibanez Mikro bass. Disclaimer: This bridge is not a direct replacement for an Ibanez bridge, but the string spacing is the same. I had to drill new holes to mount it. That said, low and behold the same thing happened: String vibrations were clearly felt through the body of the bass, tone was more crisp, more edge, brighter and tighter, using the same strings and intonation setup.

I read reviews of this bridge on other sites and forums and decided to give it a try. I received it a couple of days before I was told to expect it. This bridge was purchased to replace the stock bridge on a 2000 fretless Mexican Jazz. I replaced the electronics (stacked pots for each pup), the pickups (Status Hyperactive) and have a Hipshot D-Tuner. It was getting an OK tone with LaBella white nylon-coated strings, but something was just lacking. I installed the bridge on Saturday, got it intonated and played a gig on Sunday morning. WHAT A DIFFERENCE in the tone!!! The sustain and "mwah" that I was missing has been found! Played through a Hartke Bass Attack DI straight into the board. This bass is all I want to play now. Not exactly like a Pedulla, but less than a total of $700 for the original bass and the upgrades, I will take it any day! BTW - I also play a '89 Carvin LB76 and a '98 Jerzy Drozd Prodigy VII LE pretty regularly. Can't wait to get this thing into the studio!!!

I fix and repair string instruments for almost 10 years now and I've been through all kinds of problems of intonation and buzzes. Things got pretty bad a few months ago when I dropped my bass tuning to C, along with thicker strings gauge. The low C string was buzzing and not giving me the bright sound I've ever squeezed out of my instrument. Now, with Babicz Full Contact Bridge, not only my problem is solved but my sustain, intonation and feel on my strings does seems better than expected. Even using a pick, this thing works out to burst my bass up to my concept.Guess that my 25 years old beast now will live for another 25 growling even better, thanks to this purchase.Really glad about it!
