This makes plugging into 110v easy. No more using a million dog bones and having to pull out my 50 amp cable. This plugs right into the rig to a heavy duty extension cord. I have a dedicated 15 Amp circuit to plug my RV in and with my softstarts installed it works the main A/C, refrigerator, and television without issue. I can't turn on my other A/C at thes same time though (that has nothing to do with this plug). I did find that if I used a smaller extension cord I melted one of the extension cord plugs. Make sure you have at least a 10 gauge extension cord if you plan on running your A/C!

Before this adapter came along I would have to plug in the 50 amp to 30 amp reducer into the RV and then use a 30 amp to 15 amp adapter to be able to plug the RV into a standard wall outlet to charge the battery etc. Now with this awesome adapter I can convert directly from the 50 amp RV receptacle to a 120v standard 15 amp outlet. No more needing multiple adapters just to plug the RV in at home. Very handy! This looks to be very durable and high quality and I expect this to last for years to come.

Great to use when in need of hooking up 50amp RV to a generator. The screw on ring fits perfectly for a secure connection. The pigtail below the handle is about 7 inches long.

I'm not crazy about plugging 20A into my 50A RV, but I use this strictly at home to plug into an outside 20V GFCI outlet.Construction is heavy duty for the amount of current it is designed to carry. It fits tightly enough in the cheaply made socket on my RV, and the locking ring is about the same as the one on the OEM cord. I like that it's a bit shorter than the usual dogbone as it keeps the 20A plug on the extension cord up off of the ground during use. I'm not sure about the long-term durability yet but I'll update if there's any issues as I use this often.

No RV outlet? Use a heavy gauge extension cord and just plug into a regular 20 amp (or even 15a) household socket. No need to lug around the heavy 50amp cord when you're reducing down to 20 amp anyway. I have a 10ga heavy duty extension cord to use with this. You have to be mindful that this shore power setup is not sufficient to run heavier loads like bigger or multiple ac, electric heater, etc.. but is great for keeping the refrigerator and some fans and led lights on as well as for short term maintaining the 12v batteries, you could possibly run some smaller AC units if they are equipped with soft start or easy start capacitors that keep them from drawing a huge surge load on startup. It is not something you're likely to use very often but if you do a decent amount of traveling, you will eventually be glad to have one of these in your spare parts kit, don't assume you can just go get one when you need it, every time I have needed something like this there were never any in stock anywhere nearby. Build quality is comparable to other brands, feels solid and sturdy, nice open hand grip is easy to hold onto.

The thread on collar is very poorly designed, it is very difficult to get turned on and to use ... which is very unfortunate since the rest of the adapter is high quality and very functional.

Item: CORDMITPRO 50 Amp to 110 Volt RV Adapter with Twist Lock, 50 Amp to 15 Amp / 20 Amp Household Adapter, NEMA 5-15P to NEMA SS2-50RThis RV adapter was exactly what we needed for our RV. It feels to be made to quality standards and is quite hefty. I didn't find a significant or out of spec amount of voltage drop through the adapter but will keep an eye on that while using it. The ends feel tight but the Twist lock was a little finicky and honestly a bit troublesome to engage with our RV that never had an issue with other brands.Overall it works great for what I needed it for and at a great price. Hopefully the locking mechanism just needs to be "broken-in" a few times before it becomes butter smooth
