Functions perfectly and does exactly what it advertises. Magnets are strong enough, not too weak. Fits my 51mm naked portafilter well and fits the beaker I use as a dosing cup for my grinder as a bonus. No need to spend more on a diff one when this is perfectly adequate, great value. Would recommend 100% for Delonghi owners

After 4 other funnels, I finally found a funnel ring that fits on the portafilter for this machine and allows for the 51mm tamper to pass through. The fit is good, not perfect or excellent. Magnets don’t work on this portafilter since it’s stainless. It keeps the grounds off the rim of your cautious.

This is a very useful tool to have because it prevents coffee from spilling out of the portafilter. It's simple, but solid, very precisely made and works great. I use it everytime I make espresso, which is every day and I never lose or spill coffee anymore.

A great way from containing coffee where it belongs. Caution---- you have to take care to twist this off or the magnet will pull up the interior part. I hle the edge hole I twist and it goes off easily...

How did I survive without this for making espresso in the morning? Cuts down on the mess and waste of getting ground espresso to the portafilter.

Magnets don't stick to aluminum of course. So these don't stick to the portafilter because, at least all of the ones I have seen, are high polished cast aluminum. Cast stainless would be very expensive if possible.So these dosing funnels work by adhering to the stainless basket, and that works perfectly. The iron in stainless steel is what magnets are attracted to. In the unlikely case that you had a basket made of high grade stainless like 316 grade, it would have so little iron it that it would not attract a magnet. If you had a cast iron portafilter it would it would rust, but magnets would stick to it quite well.Ok, sorry the metals lecture. I worked a lot with metals in a past life so I got carried away there.So, this works great (see photo). It is really necessary to keep from making a mess on the counter especially if you are max loading the basket. It's just enough magnet force to lift off cleanly with just the weight of the portafilter. You might need a small tamper to get the grounds in without spilling over when you remove it.

This doesnt fit my 51mm filter. It will if I push hard but then it gets stuck. The only way to use it has been to not plug all the way in - looks like quality control issues on the measurement.
