No more wasted, dried out finish in the bottom of your can.

I was glad to see these are not like the old ones with square corners. The rounded corners make it so much easier to extract all the air and seal the liquids up. Very impressed.

Used these "iv" bags for cocktails for a Halloween party. They were easy to fill, did not leak and the guest loved drinking from them.

As I get older, I am constantly amazed at how little I know. I knew that varnish and other finishes deteriorated as they remained in contact with air, but I looked into replacing the air inside the original container with incredibly expensive Argon gas. So, it frankly never occurred to me to look for a product that was flexible enough to remove the air. And, by the way, I have been using plastic flasks for many years, but it was not until I came across this product that I realized StopLossBags Pouches were infinitely superior. The concept of removing damaging oxygen from containers to preserve varnish and other finishes was entirely new to me. The StopLossBags not only offered a way to achieve this but also boasted superior durability compared to traditional cans or bottles. The sturdiness of the bags was a pleasant surprise, making them a more reliable choice for long-term storage, assuming they were still kept in a cool, dark location. However, despite these strengths, the product falls short in certain areas. The value point per unit seems steep considering their lack of reusability. While the convenience of the collapsible funnel is appreciated, it doesn't justify the higher cost, especially when comparable products are available elsewhere for less.Additionally, the lack of clarity regarding the superiority of these bags over alternative storage methods is a drawback. While they solve a vexing problem, it's unclear why they are a better choice than plastic flasks, which are significantly cheaper. Many plastic flasks even offer added convenience with side spouts for easier pouring—a feature that the StopLossBags lack.Despite these shortcomings, I am grateful to have discovered this product and its innovative approach to preserving finishes. If the value were more evident or if the benefits over alternative storage methods were better articulated, I would be more inclined to repurchase. For now, I'll keep an eye out for better value assessments and reassess my decision based on future developments. The StopLossBags Pouches offers a practical solution to a common problem faced by woodworking enthusiasts. While its durability and effectiveness in preserving finishes are commendable, its value and lack of distinct advantages over available alternatives warrant consideration. With some adjustments to that value ratio and clearer communication of its benefits, this product has the potential to earn a higher rating in the future.

I have been eyeing these for a while now, and was motivated to purchase them after having to throw out half a liter of Waterlox that has skinned over after a few months. We'll see how the finish lasts using these bags, but I am very hopeful. Here are my lessons learned so far:• The bags are packed with the cap on and air removed. I found that it's important to inflate the bag before attempting to fill it. Sometimes the fluid in the funnel is sufficient to open the bag, but sometimes it's not and that can make a mess. I found that a quick puff of air into the bag inflates it and allows fluid to flow in easily. If you're concerned about moisture from your breath, you can leave the bag open for a bit before you add the finish.• When you're filling the bag, be mindful of the position of the funnel. If the funnel is tilted, it can cause the neck of the bag to close off and block the fluid from flowing.• If you're filling the bag with any type of finish that calls for the finish to be mixed before use, you should consider mixing the finish before pouring it into the bag.• Put a little furniture wax on the the threads of before putting the cap on. This makes it easier to get the cap off just in case any finish is on the threads.• The funnel does not clean as easily as they show in their promotional videos. I found that some finishes peel off easily while others can be a bit stubborn to clean. It's critically important that you clean the inside of the funnel so you don't contaminate any future finish.• Label the bags before you add any finish. It just makes it easier. If you mislabel a bag, you can just dampen the edge of a cloth or paper towel with a very small amount of lacquer thinner or GooGone and you can easily remove whatever you've written in Sharpie.• Be careful if you're attempting to pour out some or all of the contents off the bag. Even a little bit of pressure on the bag can cause the finish to squirt out.• I'd like to see Stop Loss bags available in a smaller size, such as 1/2 liter.

I started using these; no more drying out film on top of can. Still easy to mix. Can be reused with same product just keep filling the bag till can is empty. Will buy again in month or so.

Using these for hardwax oil finish they work great. My gel Bartley finish was a challenge to get in the bag but it got in there. They do keep the air out and are easy to dispense. Two thumbs up!
