The light and magnifying lens work great! My old eyes can see the letters and numbers on the diamond paintings. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is the moveable handle that screws into the lens part was missing a piece and would not screw in. So, my husband fixed it a different way, and I have been using it ever since.

the magnifier is wonderful, absolutely love it, perfect for when my eyes get tired but I'm not ready to stop stitching. It has a good, strong clamp, and the gooseneck is really stable, keeps the lens exactly where I need it! The only problem is the light doesn't work properly. Even with brand new batteries, the light will work properly for a minute or two before becoming jittery and then dimming to a useless level. I really do love this magnifier and wanted to give it 5 stars, but I really needed the light.

The lights flickered after it being on for under 5 minutes. Now only one of the 3 works when it wants to. Works OK as a magnifier which is what I wanted it for. Just sucks the lights quit working
