I had everything lined up great with good downward pressure when starting to tap my bad thread. It only penetrated so far in and then just spun in one spot and leaving both a smooth surface with no threads cut. The reason for this is I believe very soft metal used to manufacture the tap. The threads at the start of the tap are now non existent. this has now ruined the part I was tapping out and now have to spend more money to replace this part with either a used or new one depending on what I can find.

This was complete garbage. The tap bit wont thread and the inserts are pretty weak. I ended up causing more damage to the item I was trying to repair which I ended up welding.I wont return this its not worth my time but stay away from this item if you are looking for a quality repair / fix.
