Frankly, I was a little surprised by how small they are. They are exactly what I wanted, but if I were ordering again I would go up one size. Some people will probably find them to be outright too small. Others will be just fine with them. It depends on what you're doing."Measure twice, cut once" is a useful precept that can save a lot of time, money, and effort. And it can make for a better result that you will be much happier with. So my suggestion is to take just a little extra time up front to make sure you're getting a size that will do the job right, and that you will feel good about and be happy with.If you are an extreme perfectionist, and like your hardware to be as precise as high quality jewelry, the screws that come in this set do not result in an absolutely perfect finish. The heads of the screws are very slightly above the surrounding surface instead of being perfectly countersunk. It's subtle, and some people wouldn't notice it, but if you want a very perfectionistic result it's worth considering this aspect.Also, check the screw length and diameter. For heavy use and a lot of weight, these might be a little small. For other uses, they are just fine.It was my fault for not being more careful about choosing a size, and I can't in good conscience take off a star for the size issue.I have used other loops similar to these but with a more sculpted shape. These are more utilitarian, those others are more aesthetically refined, but you usually pay more for that, which may or may not be worth it depending on the situation and individual preferences. (Frankly speaking, I'm leaning more toward spending a little more these days on beautifully designed things that I really like, at least for certain situations, whereas I used to be more strictly utilitarian.)

The fittings and the fasteners seem to be very fine quality stainless, exactly as described. These will be so useful for the little wooden boat I'm building. Stainless needs to be very good quality in a marine environment, and this really seems perfect. I'll be ordering more, now that I've found a good source. Highly recommended.
