My central air is a Rheem Criterion II. Our unit developed a problem a few years ago in which the blower did not turn off after a heat or cooling cycle. It just continued to run. Our unit is in the attic so it's a bit hard to hear the blower when it runs. We discovered the issue when we got a rather large electric bill. I had several people out. The first got the conpressor motor running. Said that was causing the problem. It wasn't. The second reset the sail switch and told me to replace it if the it tripped again. A third came out and discovered that the zone vents weren't working, but that didn't fix it. He did say it may be the controller board. So a bit of research and I found this board replaced the original. It was pretty much plug and play. You want to pay attention to where each wire goes and plug it into the same pin on the new board. It works perfectly and I didn't have to pay someone to replace the board or ... the whole AC unit. We now can run our air and heat again. My guess is that a relay was getting stuck.
