We used these as pants for a Rocky costume for Rocky Horror Picture Show. They worked just well for Halloween. They are pretty thin though. My husband wore long johns under as we are in the Northeast and Halloween is cold.

These do not fit an over weight dad. The XXL fit fine in length and legs BUT not the waist. XXL is more like a 36 inch instead of a tubby 44 inch like me. If you are round, do not bye these.
