I think this is more of a gimmick than it is useful. It's too small for my blue crown conure to play in, and there's nowhere on it that seems like it would be comfortable for your bird to perch for drinking, since the edge is just thin plastic. Any size bird could drink from this, but as far as using it to play in, it's probably only for smaller birds like cockatiels and parakeets. The instructions for setup weren't very helpful at all, but luckily it's pretty simple to put together and I didn't need them. I'm tempted to set this up in his cage for running water in there, but I'm sure it would get pooped in and the filter is lacking. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't get this again.

Well I should have measured more carefully as this is way too large for both my keet and really his cage.That is my fault so I am not deducting a star for that - so be sure to measure carefully as this is quite large.A parrot or cockatiel would be the minimum size bird I could see using this with.The assembly in my case was not smooth as the main tube that runs to the top was a bit too small for the pump tube and the pump tube had to be folded to fit inside it.It still worked OK but when I put it in the cage - a fairly large keet cage - it became apparent it was too large for it and also too big for him.Otherwise it works great and looks good but consider you will have to get a standard 120 volt 2 prong plug from inside the cage to outside the cage and an outlet.
