Since there isn't many review on Amazon I though to give them try, since a guitar tech suggested Aquila's to me.The strings were not labelled, just coiled bunches bases and trebbles together. But with a little attention, you'll be sort them. I have been a user Augustine Regals & Savarez ; longer with the former. As I normally use the High Tension, I decided to try the Superior Tension 146C on my 45 y.o. "La Morena" -CD/BRZ. It does take couple days to settle down, but I was very, very pleased after it does. The trebbles with their opaque appearance and slightly rectified feel, my guitar was enliven. Trebbles have that hybrid sound - that glassy even metallic ring of the FluoroCarbon with the hint of warmth of the Nylon and very responsive. Easy to play too. The bases were not particularly special, but let's see how they last.I plan to use Savarez's Corum Bases and/or the Augustine's Blue Bases with the Aquila Trebbles and see how they are blend. We don't herd immunity yet, so there is still time to experiment and get better. Aquila has something here!

I'm normally quite conservative in my string choices but after reading good reviews of these Aquila Alchemia Classical Guitar Strings I decided to give them a try and I'm very glad I did because they're amazing. The sound is clear and strong with good definition to single notes. If you want a change from softer sounding nylon strings these would be a good choice. I think they are closer to carbon than traditional nylon in terms of tone and response. I would especially recommend them to people wanting more volume and/or a stronger treble response.I should mention that I did hear a squeak to right hand contact but this disappeared within a day or so. A few people have complained it hasn't gone away for them but most people report it goes away very quickly and is not a problem.Intonation is exceptional and the feel is good. All round great strings that have become my first choice, though I'll still use Augustine Classic Black Label nylon strings for a change of tone and feel.
