It's really quite lovely for a mailbox. Easy to assmeble. Seems very sturdy. I was afraid the lights would be too bright and disruptive for wildlife, but they aren't at all.

Great quality! Very sturdy! Looks beautiful! The solar light lasts all night. It was difficult getting a good quality picture at 4am, but you can see it's very illuminated.

Great product with quality materials. Customer service was VERY responsive. I was missing one piece of the mailbox and they called me the morning after I had emailed them (less than 24 hours) and mailed out the missing piece that day. Very satisfied.

I wanted to share my experience with both the mailbox as well as the experience of installing it. First let's talk about the mailbox itself. It is gorgeous, hands down. It's well made and sturdy. It came well-packaged and undamaged. I unpacked everything and I was surprised when I took the main post out and saw that it was taller than I was, lol. The BrightLight website has a great video showing how to do the installation and I highly recommend taking a look at that before getting started. It's quick and clear. In terms of the installation, I assembled as much as possible in the house because it's been so hot outside. The template they provide for making sure the numbers line up perfectly, worked great. It can be a challenge to make sure the vinyl cut numbers don't move around on you when you apply them to the acrylic panels, but I used a toothpick to help my fingers and it came out perfectly as you can see in the pictures. The other minor tweak I did was I removed the arm from the post before putting the post in the ground and putting the concrete in the hole, so that it would balance a little easier. I literally got six compliments from neighbors walking by as I was just putting the post in the hole, on how beautiful it was. And I've even gotten more compliments now that it's been fully assembled and installed! What about the light? So I was a bit worried about this because I've had other solar powered devices and not been very happy. The solar light on this is both very bright, and lasts all night, and I was very pleasantly surprised that it works exactly as I would want. It looks fantastic in the evening and people actually think it's a line powered light, rather than solar, for how bright and sustained it is. The only thing I wished is that the color of the LEDs was slightly less white. I think a softer color would look nicer, but it's a very minor thing. The most important thing is that the light is bright and stays on all night, and that's definitely the case here.Lastly, I can't speak highly enough about the CEO John. Not only did he reach out to me directly to make sure everything was good with my order and go over some tips on the installation to help my experience be issue-free, but I had two minor challenges that he was extremely proactive in helping me sort through. The mailbox had, what looked like dust on it, which turned out to be some of the powder coating that might've accidentally spilled onto the mailbox after the powder coating process had been completed. He gave me some tips on cleaning the mailbox, and answered all my questions about it, which was fantastic. Also, I had a question about the self tapping screw to help tighten the arm, and where it should go in, and he called me back on a Saturday, to answer my question and make sure everything went great with the install! I mean, who gets that kind of service from the owner of a company these days? Here's the thing, this is an open and honest review and I believe people who do an amazing job should get an amazing review. That's why I took the time to write this and I hope you find it helpful to read as well!

I am very pleased with my Brightlight model #10000 mailbox. I like it, my wife likes it, and even our mailman likes it. He took some pictures of it which he will share with customers who are planning to replace their mailbox.Even though the unit came very well packaged, the corner on one of the address panels was cracked and the panel needed to be replaced. When I called to request the replacement, I spoke with John – the CEO. I expected the standard whining: “… it’s so small … you really can’t see it, yada, yada, etc., etc …” Instead, John shipped a replacement panel that day and I had it the following day. John strikes me as a friendly person who rolls up his sleeves and likes to solve problems for his customers. The package included everything for the installation: the parts, the hardware, a rechargeable battery, and even the allen wrench to secure the screws. It also included a schematic and instructions how to assemble and install the mailbox. Even though the instructions were clear and easy to follow, I found the installation video on the Brightlight website to be very helpful in order to visualize the process. The mailbox has a very pleasant light which illuminates the house numbers at night. It is powered by a rechargeable battery which, in turn, is powered by a solar panel. In conclusion, it’s a sturdy, elegant mailbox with a flawless powder-coated finish that adds to the curb appeal of my home. It was easy to install. I love it and so will you.Jim J.

Only had this for 7 days, but so far I'm a big fan. The great:- The post is very sturdy.- The website provides excellent instructions in video form (just google the name of the item, you'll find the site).- The solar light looks great, has worked every night after we put it up.- Mailbox is a good size. The not great:- The crossbar is not securely attached. It wobbles. Not bad, certainly not to an extent that it's unuseable, but with the main post being so sturdy I was surprised that it's not a secure fit.- As you may see in the questions that were answered, you actually can't fully tighten the bolts that attach the mailbox to the crossbar. If you do, the mailbox warps imperceptibly, but sufficiently to change how the mailbox door fits the frame, causing it to not actually be able to make the magnetic connection so that it fully closes. You can force it, but then you start scraping it. I had to fully loosen all 4 bolts and then slightly (maybe a quarter turn) tighten them to find an acceptable compromise. So if your door doesn't close, I can confirm what the seller says - loosen the bolts.- Given how nice the post looks, it's actually surprising that the mailbox is so basic. In theory you should be able to exchange it for any other mailbox (assuming they attach the same way)I will update if the bolt loosening causes problems or if the solar light stops working. Assuming they don't, I very much like it.
