Broke while I was using it, lucky I wasn't hurt and was able to catch myself. I'm only 190 lbs. Been fighting for 3 months with the company to honour their warranty, but they won't.

I absolutely hated the installation process. It was very difficult to get my hands and tools up in the blind area to tighten the bolts. I bought one for the driver side. I wont buy one for the other side. All that said I do enjoy the ease the step offers.

Does not fit on the driver side of a Crew Cab Ram 1500 with the 3L diesel engine. The fill and vent tubes for the DEF tank run right across the area where this should mount, and they are rigid pipes that cannot be moved easily. Even when installed on the passenger side, the step is marginal. Ideally, it would extend another 2-3 inches out. As-is, it's useful only to step up and look into the bed. Due to how close it is to the truck, your body naturally leans away from the bed when standing on the step. This forces you to use a hand to support yourself by grabbing the bed. Therefore, it's not a step that will be useful for loading or unloading cargo from the bed. It is solidly built, though. I love my tailgate assist step on the back of the truck, but his side-mount one is not nearly as useful, unfortunately

Other than Amp cheating me out of the rebate I don't have any complaints with the step. Install was simple and it works as advertised.

Just installed it on driver side of my 2016 Ram Ecodiesel quad cab. Perfect fit. Installation is easy enough, make sure use eyes protection when drilling. Very impressed with quality, fit, looks and operation of this product! Many Thanks to AMP Research!

ECODIESEL WARNING - The step will not work on the driver side bed. The DEF fill tube runs directly in front of the location where the mount attaches to the bed. You would have to extend def fill tube to get it to work. Works fine on the passenger side. Easy to install. Took me about 45 minutes. You have to drill two 3/8" holes. Ratchet wrenches are a key for the tightening of the bolts.
