Installed this on a newly refreshed engine. During break-in, the ECU occasionally lost sync which resulted in no spark, sudden instantaneous power loss, then would resync and the car would drive normally again.I set the gap to the maximum, middle, minimum (range is 1.5-0.5MM), no change. I was only able to get it to be largely consistent when the sensor was touching the tabs on the trigger wheel. Once the engine was broken in, I started to see lost sync on hard acceleration over 4000rpm.I replaced it with a used factory unit (with 60k miles) which has worked flawlessly. This one will be going in the trash.

The sensor worked for about 30 miles and then kept losing sync. I assumed it was something in the wiring or another connection since the crank sensor was new. Spent way too much time trying to diag when it was just this sensor. I should mention the sensor was indeed properly spaced from the trigger wheel and I even tried multiple different distances that were within spec. Still nothing. Replaced with a Oem and it worked great.

Sensor works fine- but mine got destroyed because I wired it the same way the OEM was wired, causing it to get caught in a belt. Take care to ensure you manage the longer cable appropriately.
