If your having trouble with the van cutting out after van gets warm from cold start it could be this part. Before changing out anything else disconnect the battery so the pcm can reset. Go to the crank position sensor and pull it out. It should come straight out with no play where the sensor meets its own mounting bracket. If it does replace it and don’t replace anything else and test from dead cold state not barley warm. If the van doesn’t shut off after warming well hurray. If it does remember the the procedure for parts installation, disconnect the battery, with the key off of course, and do this for every part installation so you can know for certain the exact part that is giving the problem. From dead cold every time to simulate overnight cold engine temperature.

So the plastic feels a little cheap, the wire harness is a few inches shorter then the original. But it works. For 100$ less then getting one from the dealer. Going to make a 1500 mile drive in my ZJ will update the review if anything happens due to the sensor.

i have a 99 5.2 1500, it fit and so far my truck runs when it reaches operating temp. as before it would stall/surge out. so far so good. The magnet is definitely not as strong as OEM and i had difficulties trying to get the sensor to reach the other plug end. You get what you pay for. Other than that if youre looking for a cheap temporary fix, this works.

I INSTALLED THIS DEVICE TO REPLACE A RODENT CHEWED VERSION (REPLACING TAKES A LOT OF WORK INCLUDING FRONT WHEEL REMOVAL) , ONLY TO DISCOVER PLUG WOULD NOT MATE WITH SOCKET.I THEN REPLACED PLUG WITH ORIGINAL (RODENT CHEWED THE WIRES AT CPS BUT PLUG WAS INTACT) BY MATCHING WIRE COLORS BUT OBD II GAVE CPS MISMATCH.SO I TRIED TO SALVAGE OLD RODENT CHEWED CPS WITH WIRE CONNECTORS BUT STILL NO START.AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS OF FRUSTRATION, FINALLY BOUGHT A LOCAL CPS VERSION WITH CORRECT SOCKET.ENGINE NOW STARTS AFTER MONTHS OF FAILURE.

Installed in minutes. My Jeep started right up. This part’s mount bracket is smaller than the OEM part, but it installed fine and I had no issues with clearance. My Jeep has been running fine since I installed this part. ***UPDATE*** Part stopped working 7 months after installation. Left me broken down and needing a tow. I tried cleaning, and reinstalling with no success. Replaced part and Jeep now starts again...
