Camera works alright. Didn't come with a light switch so I can't use my ring light. Company hasn't responded to emails. Don't recommend buying.

El lente es bueno pero requiere de mucha iluminación para lograr una imagen nítida.

f you’ve ever thought, “I wish my toy photography had a lens that could bend reality,” then the AstrHori 28mm F13 Periprobe Lens is your dream come true. This lens isn’t just a tool—it’s a statement piece. A bizarre, glorious, why-does-this-exist-but-thank-goodness-it-does masterpiece.First, let’s address the elephant in the room: the probe design. It’s long. It’s weird. It looks like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. But oh boy, when you slide this bad boy under your carefully posed action figures or into impossibly tight spaces, the results are mind-blowing. Ever wanted to photograph Optimus Prime from the perspective of an ant? Now you can.The built-in ring light is pure genius. Who needs fancy lighting setups when you’ve got a lens that brings its own glow? It’s like having a mini spotlight that ensures your subjects are always ready for their close-up. Perfect for creating dramatic shadows on a LEGO battlefield or highlighting the heroic smirk of your favorite action figure. And let’s not forget the 2x macro capability. This lens doesn’t just show details; it shows details—like the microscopic scuff on your G.I. Joe’s boots or the fingerprint you didn’t realize was on your figure’s shield. It’s both fascinating and humbling. Is it overkill? Absolutely. But if you’re the kind of person who spends hours setting up intricate toy scenes, this lens is your soulmate. It takes your photography from “cool” to “whoa, how did they even shoot that?” in an instant. So, if you’re ready to level up your toy photography with a lens that’s part camera gear, part conversation starter, and 100% awesome, the AstrHori Periprobe is your new best friend. Five stars for absurdity, creativity, and pure, unadulterated fun. 📷✨

If your'e looking for a general- purpose macro lens, this isn't it. But if you're after a specialty lens that captures 2:1 macro images, has an integrated light, and is submersible, this should do the trick. Image quality is quite good, especially at mid apertures. It's the sort of lens that requires planning and setting shots up carefully. But patience and planning are rewarded with shots that other types of lenses just can't capture.Operation is smooth. It's a fully manual lens, so aperture and focus are both done by hand. For extreme close-ups, focus depth of field is very shallow even at the small apertures the lens accommodates. But it focuses easily and accurately. At longer distances (past several inches), depth of field obviates focusing issues.I gave it four stars because it's definitely a niche lens that many photographers/videographers could easily do without. Definitely not a must-have. But if you are looking for something to spur your creativity and you have the patience to plan and execute shots carefully and thoughtfully, you might really like this oddball lens. I do.

I tested this before adding it to my lens collection by using paper test charts and 3-D Targets. My conclusions are as follows:1) 3D objects are not 'tack' sharp no matter what aperture or distance. Sharpness is critical for my application.2) Distortion. You can correct it but see point 1. Why bother?3) The LED light is handy but does not disperse evenly on 3D Objects. You may want to carry a light with it.I was intrigued by this lens, but disappointed by it's performance. On flat paper targets I did receive reasonable sharpness. On objects that are not flat, F stops did not help and focusing the middle or the front did not help. It's just not sharp enough.

Excellent “probe” style macro lens on a budget. Arrives in a nice sturdy case that will keep it well protected.Create probe style macro shots at almost half the price of the Laowa. Not as long, and slightly thicker than the Laowa, but for me it’s ideal. Build quality is good. Only negative is that it comes in 2 separate parts, and the bit that locks them together is a bit fiddly and could be accidentally loosened.
