Handy item for undoing automotive clips. I used this item over the weekend during an automotive project- I added a steal bumper with a light bar to my pick-up truck. There were at least 8 clips that needed to be unclipped. Although this tool is mainly used for removing and replacing connections on fuel filter lines, it can also compress and quickly disconnect electrical clips without damaging the connector. I also installed a cold air filter and this tool was used to release and re-apply the hose connector. The tool was delivered well packaged and with a light coat of oil to prevent rust. This tool is going to be a permanent part of my automotive tool box.

Tool works great for removing electrical connectors. Well built pliers and really no complaints, but I would have loved for them to be a little bit longer. As long as the connector is easily assessible, you will not have nay problems out of it.

They feel good and solid - no play in the joint and the grips are comfortable. I didn't realize the two sides don't line up with each other... probably for a good reason, I just haven't used these before. They seem good for the price.

Well here I am. I'm done. I am finally buying a special pair of pliers to take off those GD electrical connectors. I blame all auto manufacturers for driving me to this.Seem well made, and do work well taking off these dark demon connectors. I need to get the 90 degree ones too for stupid Subaru low down no good plugs and overplugs. Not too heavy and the grip is fine. Not ultra high quality, but they're not stiff and they work well.

I ordered this pliers to replace another pliers that I was not happy with because it was not good metal and was hollow. This pliers is a solid metal pliers of great quality. This has a great jaw for removing electrical connector or those pinch style hose clamps. It is very comfortable in your hand and has a nice rubberized grip so your hand does not slip. The jaws meet nicely and the tool is solid. I would order this pliers again and will recommend it to others. It also comes in a 60 degree version if you need that for your tool collection. I have only tried the straight one and it works very well.

These are well-made and very useful. They're made of solid steel, unlike some similar ones that are just stamped and folded. The steel seems strong, the hinges are sturdy -- no extra play, but not too tight, the handles are relatively comfortable, and the jaws are nicely shaped. From the product description, I initially thought these would be good for pulling stubborn hoses and tubing off of connections. But once I had them in front of me, I realized that they are not quite the right shape for that, and are really meant for various clamps and connectors. They pinch in from the sides very effectively, allowing you to pull connectors from the middle -- rather than from the end where the wires are, and will push and/or pull the release tabs on many different types of connectors. They grab some hose clamps well; others, not so much.Bottom line:Very useful. Great addition to the toolbox. Well worth the asking price (at the time of this writing). No complaints. Definite keeper.

Where have these been my whole life, cause my fingers have been struggling to get those clips off since I was born ! And now they come out with tools that make your life easy! These are good for those coolant hoses with the little center tap that squeezes between the other fatter part. My pliers would always slip off those and create a huge struggle but these work great!

I've never had a pair of these, but they've come in handy after replacing my intake manifold; a part with MANY electrical connectors involved. When working on a car, I always look at electrical connectors and, if I can't figure them out, look them up to make sure I press the correct tab in the correct direction so you I break anything. This desn't go away by having these, but if the tab pushes in, which most do, you're good to use the pliers. It makes short work of most of them. Just squeeze gently and apply some professional grade wiggle to slowly work it loose. Some will pop right off. Some not so much I heard one connector crack a bit, but the brittle plastic stayed intact, luckily. It's easy to use the pliers, but be cautious. Plastic is unforgiving yet costly. They seem machined well and have some kind of protective finish on them. They feel durable and have a good weight for a hand tool. For thenprice, they're a great find, imo. Recommend.
