I have owned more cycling shorts to count over the years and I know what I like and don't like.I am a bit picky, probably a little strange, but I can't stand certain materials against my skin. These shorts have very comfortable fabric. It is thick enough and stretches which is what I like. They are comfortable, not loose but also not tight and restrictive. They feel pretty good in that respect.I will ding them 1 star because of the padding. I like gel padded shorts for long rides but these are just a bit too thick for me. Not enough to make them unwearable, just enough so I notice the pad while I am riding. Maybe over time it will compress or I might get used to it but so far I am very aware of the thickness of the gel pad
