Excellent comfort when riding and have held up really well. Padding is sufficient without being too bulky to soften the feeling of the bicycle seat. The shorts have held up really quite well in the wash over the years and have held their shape and elasticity after many many years of use. Good value for the money.

There are better shorts on the market, even my old one have better chamois. Lesson Learned: next time I will try on before I buy.

Hola!

I ordered these bake shorts to replace the ones my husband had worn holes in. They arrived on time, and were packaged as well as can be expected for the odd shape the padded seat gives the shorts.I am pleased with the padded gel seat, as it gives more comfort than previously worn bike shorts. My husband commented on how nice the padding was after the first wear. I recommend hand wash or cold-water laundry and line dry to increase the life of the shorts. The legs have a rubberized grip that keeps them from riding up while biking. The grip is nice and doesn’t pull his leg hair. These bike shorts are well sewn, and seams won’t be coming apart. The nylon/spandex fabric is a bit thicker than on other bike shorts, and feels more substantial. In our experience, we find that the size is accurate. My husband is 6’4”, 200#, and has a 34/35-inch waist. Size Large fits him perfectly. The price of these bike shorts is amazing. In the past, I have paid 3 times what I paid for these, and had thin, flimsy shorts with lousy, unsupportive padding. I’ll purchase these same shorts again for him.

Up front, This review is based on first pre-ride wear to test fit and comfort. I am 5' 10.5" tall & 185 lbs. with a 32-33" waist. I ride a Treck Madone 2.0 road bike no less than 8 miles per trip and currently wear Pearl Izumi padded shorts. These shorts are designed to fit skin tight like those compression sleeves you can get for elbows, knees and ankles. I ordered the medium size and they fit perfectly! The elastic waste band (no drawstring) and leg cuffs are lined with tacky rubber to keep them in place for the duration of your ride. My first impressions lead me to say these shorts are as good or better than similar Pearl Izumi shorts for a fraction of the price. Time will tell on long term comfort and durability, but the quality looks top notch. If you are looking for loose basketball style shorts with pads that somehow magically stay in place, good luck, because they don't exist. Buy the size you normally buy and expect them to fit skin tight as they should. Great buy!UPDATE:After wearing these for a quick 14 mile ride this evening, I can say these shorts function as advertised. They distribute the pressure slightly better than my foam padded shorts, and made the ride surprisingly comfortable for one of my first of the season. One curious observation though is the "Made in China" tag on them. The Canari website claims their products have been "Made in the USA" since 1979. Not sure what's up with that, but the shorts fit and feel great so far.

I am 5' 10" and 205 lbs. with a husky build (not thin legs and muscular upper body) and 34-35" waist, so I read the reviews and decided to go with the XL size. I find this size just a little too large. The legs do not fit snug or supportive and the waist is loose but just tight enough to stay up. I tucked my shirt in so the waist would fit tighter...I have ordered another pair at the Large size instead of XL and hoping the Large will be snug on the legs and the waist a little tighter. The material is very comfortable and the padding was about right for me.Update: Received the Large size and this fits the waist much better than the XL, legs are snug and almost too snug at the very end. But this size fits pretty well if you are in the 34" waist range.Latest Update: I also ordered Pearl iZUMi Men's Quest Cycling Short,Black,X-Large (XL in Pearl Izumi's is similar to Large in Canari) and even though the shorts are very close, I think the padding and fit of the Pearl Izumi's are better so for $2-3 dollars more, get the Pearl Izumi's.

I've been cycling with these shorts for over two months now and feel safe to give it a thumbs up here on Amazon. They fit as expected, so no reason to size up or size down. I normally wear a size 32-34, and I purchased a medium and they fit well. I like that it has a drawstring to tie it securely. The gel padding seems to be enough to offer comfort while riding but its not so much that you really notice it while seated. The material is great at wicking away sweat. It hasn't stretched or had any issues. The logo hasn't faded or cracked yet and it's been through the wash a bunch of times. I usually wash it on delicate setting with cold water and then hang it to dry. The only downside is I wish it had pockets somewhere on it, but this isn't enough for me to dock a star. Overall, I recommend these cycling shorts and I will probably buy another pair in the near future.
