Directions for Use
- 1. Position the small O-ring over the 10 pounds mark.
- 2. Position the U-shaped belt cradle against the bottom of the belt at a 90 degree angle and locate the large O-ring to a reference point, record reading.
- 3. Push upward on the rubber bumper until the small O-ring touches the bottom of the tool body.
- 4. Re-align the large O-ring to the reference point; difference in the reading is the belt deflection.
HOW TO USE
- Place the small O-ring on the belt tension tool at the 10 lb mark and place the U-belt bracket against the bottom of the belt at a 90 degree angle.
- Position the large O-ring at the reference point and record the reading. Push the rubber bumper up until the small O-ring contacts the bottom of the tool body.
- Realign the large O-ring to the reference point; the difference in reading is the belt deflection

Works as intended – easy to use. Construction seems solid. This is certainly to last a lifetime with the occasional use it will get in my garage. Tension spring is right at 10 lbs. (tested with small scale). Included a little O-ring that marks the deflection distance.Overall, a useful little tool. Highly recommend for anyone that needs a simple belt gauge.Product description and photos are accurate.

Just use a ruler. Took me longer to read and understand the badly translated instructions than it would have to just do it the old fashioned way.
