When I received these I was disappointed that they did not include the bee bait for the trap, even a small sample would have been nice. BUT I was WRONG, I have tried numerous carpenter bee traps over the years, but this is the BEST one I ever tried and used. In 3 days , since I hung the 2 traps ,without any bait in them , the trap caught 4 carpenter bees in 1 trap and ,1 carpenter bee in the other trap.. None could escape and just died in the trap. Leave the dead bees in your trap, for a while, as their scent seems to lure other bees to the trap. Also , in the few days I have used the traps I HAVE NOT trapped any other kind of bee in the trap, no honey bees , or yellow jackets.Just the bees that are eating my porch wood. Excellent product.

These bee traps are fantastic! We have a lot of carpenter bees. My husband installed two in less than 5 minutes. It’s safe to use around other bees as they don’t enter the trap. We caught 5 carpenter bees in one trap in one day! They are a little pricy but are worth the money!

Works great. Boring bees went right to it. Easy to safely empty trap with hinged hatch and long string attached. Green roof protects wood top from weather.

I like the ones with the plastic cup hanging down below better. You can see how many bees have been caught.I put up these new ones. I could see a bee in it after two days, but just now there was no bee in it.

We hung the traps yesterday afternoon and by this afternoon we have caught three very pissed off carpenter bees. We hung two traps, about 15’ apart on two sides of our wood pavilion. Last year we had significant damage despite pesticides, deterrents, swatting them out of the air and generally harassing them. This is so much easier! It really works! I did buy the bait. It comes in a tube and looks awful to he, but clearly not to the bees. I wish we had tried this first. Definitely worth the price.

Caught a carpenter bee in less than a week! I was considering purchasing the beelicious bee bait to jumpstart my 2 traps and was pleasantly surprised to find this bee on day 5 after mounting them. The traps are well designed and constructed.

I had last years model but it looked a little weathered so ordered these. I have not caught any bees in this trap. I was giving it a chance and now return window is closed. One is still in the box. I have an Amish glass trap that I purchased at same time and it is catching bees. I have swapped spaces so both had chance in same area.
