Triple power source, 12vdc, 20vdc and 120vac. Note: 20vdc battery or charger not included, must purchase separately. Strong motor, very portable with handle. Lots of power tools to use with the 20vdc battery. Save your money and time, avoid those credit card or cash-operated air compressors at gas stations. Flat tire? Count on those air machines to be out of order when you need one the most, i.e., late at night, in an emergency, in the boon docks, etc. And if you're lucky to find one, not enough pressure to get your tire inflated and driving on the road again. Cheaper inflators are available but why fuss with a bunch of different form factors and different batteries types. Don't think a B&D inflator is built for the 40v batteries so best to stick with the 20v system.

So I’ve been informed that the official name of this thing is not “the tire blowy-uppie thing.”It inflates tires. It has a special name. La-Dee-da.I got this one because you cannot count on gas stations anymore. The people working in them don’t want to help you and wouldn’t know how even if they did. Those machines don’t work.Since the light is ALWAYS coming on in my car I decided to get a tire blowy-uppie thing and the one I got didn’t work with the cigarette lighter space. This one does. It works a bunch of ways.I didn’t get the battery because I won’t keep it charged, anyway, so why pay for that. Can’t speak to how easy it is to put on and off, but it looks pretty okay to me.This one also has little pictures by the switches so I know what to do!!!!! That is very helpful. I need those little pictures. I got confused with all the mechanical words when I was trying to learn how to use it. But the pictures are easy peasy. It works quickly. It doesn’t take longer than those gas station things. It might be quicker. It seems very strong. I’m not worried about leaving it in the trunk and letting it sit back there. So I’m saying A+ on the tire blowy-uppie thing. And if you know what it is called, congratulations. I don’t care.

I've owned this for a few years and it works great. I mostly use it to inflate car and bicycle tires.

I bought the BLACK+DECKER 20V inflator to have something I can keep in the garage for easy access when the car tires need to be topped off at home. I chose this inflator primarily because I already have several B+D 20V tools and more 20V Max batteries than I know what to do with. I also read a number of reviews and product comparisons for multiple alternative products. Here is how I would rate the features that are most important to me:5 STARS for size and portability - For me this inflator is staying in the garage, but it's also small enough to tuck in the car (though I never will).4 STARS for inflation speed - It's not the fastest inflator I've used, but for the size/price range/noise level, it is good. For me I would not pay more for a faster inflator.4.5 STARS for power options - It's nice to have multiple options for powering the device, even if I only ever want to use a battery. I just have to dock half a star because the 12v cord isn't wound up in the box. That's just an annoyance since I never intend to use the 12v option.2 STARS for Auto shut-off - I love this feature! I just wish the product designers had put a little thought into it. Every time I unplug the battery, I have to reset the desired PSI! I use 42 psi for my car, which means I have to push the (+) button over 40 times every time I use this inflator. It also over-inflates to get to the desired shut-off point. When set to 42, it consistently inflates to 43.5 psi before it shuts off. (This happens because reading the psi while it's running is not accurate, but it's a bit too much compensation.)Overall this is a great inflator for home use, especially if you already have Black+Decker 20V batteries. (PROTIP: Don't buy a battery separately! You can usually find a tool that comes with a battery and charger cheaper than you can buy a battery alone.)

Love the setup.I bought it to use on an iSUP and it did the job but I need to find a fitting for the low pressure hose. High pressure worked but it was quite slow (possibly because I wasn’t able to get enough volume in using the low pressure side). Worked great with my B&D drill battery. Controls are pretty straightforward. Just have to make sure to press the wake button when using a battery.

This is an awesome little compressor. I wouldn’t say it works any better than most 12v compact compressors, but the fact that you can use 110-120v ac or 12v or 20v battery makes it awesome. Have a high pressure hose and a high volume hose makes this the most versatile little compressor. No more blowing up rafts at the car and carrying it to the beach. Just go right to the beach and blow your stuff up. Small and compact, looks like a little radio. Auto shut off for high pressure works great. It is not quit but is quieter most small compressors. Already love this little thing.
