About this item

  • Conventional star-quad configuration: two connectors at each end, joined to a pair of opposite-side conductors. We also offer this cable in bi-wired configurations; search our listings to find those.
  • The best terminations in the industry: our unique ultrasonic welding process fuses the copper wire directly to the brass banana or spade connector, with no intervening metal, no compression sleeves or setscrews.
  • Star quad cable configuration reduces EM field around the cable for reduced interaction with other system cabling
  • Assembled in Seattle, Washington at our own cable shop, using BJC's proprietary connectors and Sonobond welder.
  • Our locking banana plugs give the best possible engagement between plug and binding post; advancing the locking collar tightens the splines to the inside of the post.

This cable assembly is produced in our Seattle shop using Canare's popular 4S11 star quad speaker cable stock and our unique ultrasonic welding process. Unlike conventional methods of speaker cable termination, the ultrasonic weld requires no compression rings, setscrews or other failure-prone hardware to fasten the wire to the terminal; but, being done near room temperature, it also prevents the insulation meltback and intermediary metal layer which soldering would introduce, while providing a strong, low contact resistance connection.

These cables are just incredibly well manufactured. The sound is punchy with very tight controlled base. High end is perfect to my ears.Don't let anyone tell you a good speaker cable is not worth the money; I think this cable reaches the point of diminishing returns and at a very fair price.

These are as good as you'll find folks, can you spend $5K on others? Sure, but you don't need to. These have a super grip from just a turn of the collar. They expand and hold tight with way more contact area than other spring type banana terminals. People ask about the line of diminishing returns, well this is it. It doesn't improve above this price. No fancy sheathing to get dust and fur caught in it and make you cables look yucky. Nope, these are smooth and durable. Last cables you will ever buy unless you change rooms and need a different size. Get the shortest cables possible, the cables' impedance has less impact on your sound quality when you have shorter lengths.

I changed all of the wires in my system to Blue jeans cables. I still am not sure about this argument that cables do not make a difference. All I know is that every time I added a blue jeans cable to my equipment the improvement was noticeable immediately. I am extremely happy with this brand and I'm extremely happy with these cables. What you have to realize in the end is that the connectors are probably the most important part of cables and that's where the blue jeans expertise comes in. By without hesitation. High quality.

Very very nice and well built cables but the banana plug tips are horrible for my binding posts. Too big they just don’t fit and break apart if I use some force.

Have used the cable with several speakers and several amplifiers. In every case it has sounded clear and clean. Like all speaker/amp combinations, some work better than others. I would say this cable is not a rich sounding cable. When I purchased a Denon PMA1600 integrated, which IS rather rich sounding, it made an excellent pairing with this cable into my Wharfedale EVO 4.1 stand mounts. Just the right amount of life and light balanced by rich detail and a bit of warmth. I cannot say enough about this combination of gear. The best thing for me is the setup seems to work well for every music type I love.....Max

This is my first foray into "high end" speaker cables. These cables kept getting mentioned in every thread I read about speaker cables in this price range, so I rolled the dice and ordered a pair. These things are built very well. The cable itself is larger and heavier than I had imagined, but in a good way. I have always preferred bare wire to banana plugs, but these locking ones make a SOLID connection, I love them.Soundwise...I know a lot of people think that cables don't affect sound and that your an audiofool to spend money on cables, but my ears are telling me I hear a difference. a little sparkle in the top end and slightly tighter bass. But it could very well be expectation bias, who knows.Overall, I am very happy with three cables and feel it was money well spent.

These speaker cables are solidly constructed, sound great and offer incredible value. This is the second set I’ve purchased, and I wouldn’t consider another brand. No snake oil here, simply top-quality speaker cables that look great, won’t fall apart, and thanks to their locking banana plugs, will never come loose, compromise a connection or disconnect while moving gear around. These are all the speaker cable anyone needs. If you have too much money, and for whatever reason, absolutely must get rid of a bunch of it, then by all means, buy speaker cables the price of a new Benz. However, if you’re someone who prefers to hold onto as much of your money as possible, while still achieving high-quality sound, then Blue Jeans speaker cables are exactly what you need.

These Canare 4S11 speaker cables with welded locking bananas built by Blue Jeans Cable (BJC) are excellent in my system (Harbeth LS3/5a with Yaqin MC-100B). I owned a pair of speaker cables for over 25 years, which produced good midrange and warm sound. After I hook up these Canare 4S11 speaker cables, they open the sound stage, the bass gets tighter and more controlled, the mid and high are warm and sweet, the biggest improvement is these Canare 4S11 have more details, I didn't know there were so much I missed in the music.I really like the locking banana plugs, they are securely connected to amplifier and speakers. BJC really did a good job welding these banana plugs, the craftsmanship is very good. The Canare 4S11 cable itself is high quality too - do a Google search, you will find a lot of good reviews about these Canare 4S11 cables.I compared these Canare 4S11 speaker cables with Ten White speaker cables (built by BJC too). Ten White speaker cables are good cables too, but they are too bright in my system.Overall, I really like Canare 4S11 speaker cables built by BJC, excellent quality, reasonable price, and produce good sound in my system. Highly recommended.

These are great speaker cables, made of the well-respected Canare 4S11 wire. The cables are professionally terminated, with high-quality, locking banana connectors. Overall, this is a great product at a fair price. In terms of performance, this wire has a reputation for being a staple in the pro audio industry. It also works beautifully in audiophile applications, delivering a tonally neutral sound, with excellent sense of space and solid imaging. Both the electrical and acoustic performance of this wire is well-known and well-documented. Blue Jeans Cable is being very transparent about the materials used, which is quite refreshing, given the enormous amount of dodgy marketing practices in the audiophile cable industry. If you are looking to set up a sweet-sounding system, look no further, get these speaker cables and be assured of having made the right choice.

I have spent a lot of money on cables throughout the years. Cables that promised liquid, velvet, chocolatey sound. Cables that cost a lot of money in order to justity these companies exorbitant advertising budgets. Cables that frankly, were overpriced and underdelivered on the lofty expectations of this audio enthusiast (Audioquest & Transparent, I am looking at you). Unfortunately, audiophile consumer has no regulations or checks and balances. Snakeoil salesmen can peddle the prettiest cable you have ever seen and convince you that you will hear things you have never heard before. It's kind of like the vitamin industry, take this little green pill and every ache and pain you feel will magically disappear, until the next little blue pill comes along and they need to convince you that you cannot live without it. That is how the audio cable industry operates, they convince you that a problem exists and promise you the world towards solving this supposed problems if only you buy their cables. It's all a load of nonsense. Now, what you get with a Blue Jean speaker cable is going to be great sound without the bells and whistles or hype that these other beautifully made speakers deceptively promise. I am ashamed to say I have fallen for the hype, beautiful cool looking cables and cables with little boxes on them that promise to filter out junk. I can honestly say I heard no difference in audio quality when I switched out my Transparent MusicWave speaker cables and subsituted the Blue Jean cables. Listen, a well shielded, well made and terminated cable like the BJC will perform at audiphile levels without lightening your wallet. Go out and sell your gorgeous flashy cables to some other sucker that doesn't know the electrical engineering, physics and science behind good sound. Are these cables beautiful works of art? Well, if your idea of a work of art is a well crafted product with attention paid to quality and price then heck yes. This is a beautiful cable that will make your music sound "liquid", "velvety" and "chocolatey" all without the added price so that you can spend that extra cash you saved buying these on liquids, velvet and chocolate. Stop reading this review and buy these cables if you are interested in great sound, affordability and no audiophile B.S. Don't repeat my mistakes purchasing expensive cables that promise the moon and only deliver in draining your wallet. Thanks for making great cables BJC, we all owe you a nice drink someday.
