It broke off in less than a month. Used to drill in soft 2x4 studs.

I needed a small but LONGER bit to drill through some 4x6 posts. I used a 1/4 " bit. No problems .The one thing I found was the threaded end did a great job pulling the bit into the wood , But I found it that I couldn't pull it out to clean out the hole part way through. It would drill through with out stopping but it gets really hot. But over all it a good strong bit.
