I was going to return this because I thought it was too small already for my 4 chickens who were 3 weeks old but I decided to keep it as the heat lamp was getting too warm for them. I tried this and love it! Wish I had been using it all along as the chickens love it. They are so cute getting ready for bed at night and all having to cuddle under this. So cute. They manage.

The cone on top is a game changer! I love brooder plates they are so much nicer than bulbs. I like that my chicks have a warm area to be but they can always leave if they get to warm. I feel like bulbs make it hard for them to get out of the heat if they need to. Also this much safer! The best thing about this is that it has a cone on top. My other plate doesnt have one and it can get really messy. Having the cone helps keep the chicks from sitting on top of the cone and doing their business all over it.

Love this chick warme!! This has a foam type mat over the heating plate so that the chicks do not get burned like other heating plate warmers could do. I purchased another brand first that had a heating plate like most all out there do and it got so hot that I felt it wasn't safe for the chicks. Chicks are doing great with it and I am raising it up as they are growing. I do wish they made a larger sizes for a larger amount of chicks to go under but that is ok, I just purchased my second one. Easy set up and the cone on top is a nice addition to keeping the off as their wings are coming in.

It did not come with the anti roost red cone! I guess it will work anyway but it is disappointing that the description is wrong.I am sorry once I opened the package I realized that there is an anti roost red cone. It is flat in the package and has to be put together.

I really like this product. Easy to assemble, easy to adjust,chicks used it and didn't climb all over it. It's been in fpr a few weeks, chicks can't get on to it and poop all over it. Clean, easy to use and perfect for small batches of chicks. I love not having to worry about those high wattage fire hazard bulbs, especially when I only have a dozen chicks to keep warm.

Highly recommend this if you’re getting baby chicks! Last year we used a heat lamp that ended up exploding. Fortunately none of my chicks were hurt! So this year we decided to try this plate out. It is life changing!!! Gives me so much peace of mind! I love that the chicks can come and go as they please and that it’s adjustable so it’ll grow with them! It was so easy to put together!

The little chicks think they’re under mamma! I like how I can change the height on each individual leg. The top being a cone is a plus so they don’t get up on top of it. This is easy to assemble, clean and is of good quality. I have 4 chicks and they all can get under it.

Works well to keep chicks warm. The triangle shape for keeping them off the top doesn’t work. They still stand in it.
