The material is really nice. Too bad it didn’t fit my big rooster but that was probably my fault for not checking the measurements. I really like it though. I’m keeping it as a bag and covering the holes for the feet with something cute.

My kids thought this would be fun. The chickens did not. Maybe we need friendlier chickens.

So one of our stupid chickens decided to not go back in the coop and got frost bite (it's my chicken and I can call him stupid if I can't to, cause everyone else figured out how to go back inside)So keeping him off his toes keeps the pain down while we see if his toes would recover... This was pretty easy. I ordered it twice, for mess clean up because chicken diapering him on top of foot soaks and being in the house was already traumatizing enough. He hung out in the bathroom, literally. There is a Velcro clasp that holds the sides together. It was a 2 person job to get him into the contraption. And he sometimes got his wings stuck above the thing in a very uncomfortable looking position (I resolved that with a fabric band thing I got off of an Aldi's Pajama set I saved for some bizarre reasons and now I know to save these to decide chickens and their wings when going medical stuff). He didn't seem to mind. They was pretty quick, and now that he's healed up and back w his girls, minus 1 toe, all seems okay. I'll tuck these away for other uses I'm sure. Highly suggest.

We had a disabled chicken that we tried to rehabilitate. The totes were great for carrying and holding the chicken, and I even suspended her from a hook near me sometimes to take pressure off of her legs while keeping her company. She passed away eventually, but the totes are nice to have on hand if you raise chickens.

This thing works. I had to handle some coop problems which meant moving two hens at once and this made the process way easier. For reference: my chickens are used to me, but aren't big fans of being handled and I had to take two to the vet. It helped to have an extra person to hold the bag open while I grabbed Sophia and got her situated in the bag. Then we could keep her safely contained while we caught a second hen. She quickly settled down and was very calm. We've also used it to keep a chicken in place for foot treatments and it worked beautifully. They now recognize the bag and will run if they see me coming with it, so I wouldn't say they're big fans, but I am.

I have larger chicken breeds, but they're technically still pullets (under a year). It might be a bit challenging to get their leggies in the holes, but if someone is helping you it's much easier. Can't speak for everyone, but my chickens just vibe while they're carried around. Love this bag! My hens don't walk well on their harnesses yet, so this is a great alternative.
