Have one poor girl the roosters were rough with, she's a silkie so her feathers are just fluff, and her entire back was featherless and scratched. This saddle literally saved the day. It's secure so I don't worry about it slipping off or getting hung up on something when she out and about. It seems water proof but I'll check it if it seems to be getting wet. If any critics at all it would be some simple instructions, for the straps and when it should be taken off.

My lead hen is our roosters favorite. She’s been losing feathers really bad. So i purchased this vest because it looks more secure and more comfortable. I’m glad i chose this one because I Like how snug or loose i can make the vest with the Velcro. It stays secure and doesn’t move or slide off. It took about an hour for her to stop feeling awkward in it. she started walking and eating normal without hindrance. I’ll be buying another one for another hen.

Easy to put on and they work, but the buckles stick out.One of my hens gets her foot stuck in the right front buckle, when she tries to scratch herself.

I like the design. Sometimes hens can remove the saddles and this design is more secure than most. However, the velcro straps are very stiff and have hard, SHARP edges that can CUT the hens under their wings. I ended up buying different saddles that use a soft elastic strap instead.

Item was made of good quality material and I thought it was going to be my favorite of the ones I bought, but I rendered my chicken unable to walk properly since she got her talon stuck in the piece under her neck with nearly every step. I found her sitting almost all day and thought she was hurt

Used this for months on my chicken after she had molting and the other chickens pecked at her for being at the bottom of the pecking order/ and a bare back. Once she got a leg caught and I had to reapply because she couldnt get around, but if you watch your chickens this was really worth her wearing. protected against sunburn too.

My flock was picking on my chicken and pulling her tail feathers out, causing her to bleed. So i bought this to protect her. They immediately started attacking her when it was put on. Jumping on her back... I thought they had stopped and I came back a few hours later, and they pecked her head so badly I can see her SKULL and I don't know if she's going to survive this. Her feet also got caught up in the piece under her wing/towards he breast. DO NOT RECOMMEND as this is a horrible possibility. Try something else. Oils... dyes... etc.
