This will be going on my second coop (almost finished). As compared to another solar powered door on my first coop, this one is hands down better. The build quality is very sturdy and the materials are quality. This has easy to use options for closing (dawn to dusk or specific times). Priced cheaper than the first one I bought as well.

After a few unfortunate missing chickens due to a fox and my forgetfulness to close up the coop at night, I was on the lookout for a better option. A friend told me about solar panel powered coop doors and off to amazon I went. This wasn't the most expensive option, not the cheapest either, but I'm very very happy with it. It's just right for my needs and will hold up great in the longterm in the texas sun. And it's durable enough to keep out unwanted guests.

I have only had it about two months but so far it has worked great. Very easy to install and setup. I hope it last because it makes letting the chickens out so much easier.

This automatic chicken coop door makes caring for my hens so much easier. I love the solar power and the timer with light sensor—it works perfectly every time. The remote control and anti-pinch feature give great peace of mind

It was easy to put together, but unfortunately the plastic cracked immediately when I pushed the slide support into the top door section. I was not overly rough with it, just following the directions and heard a crack. It is still functional, but I am sure at some point that area will fail. It doesn’t affect the functioning and otherwise was easy to install. As a 60 yo, the display panel is super hard to see. I had to squint to make out the numbers. Fairly easy to program the timing, but I haven’t a clue how or when ultrasonic horn will go off. This is not covered in the instructions. I had a side slide door, but added some small pieces to retrofit this auto door. I am definitely not a “handywoman” but this was pretty easy, only one or two “fowl” words were used during the install. Pun intended.

This has been a waste of time. For the price- I should have known. But at the same time, you read reviews and justify which ever price point makes the most sense for you. Purchased this- arrived, charged both remote for approx 2 hrs and solar panels for about 8 hrs. Put it together and the dang thing will not turn on to try. Defective? I get it. These things are probably assembled by a machine. Problem is- I can dissemble it but the side bars click into place so not sure how that’s going to be returned in its original box. Requested a replacement. It arrived and upon inspecting it- remote buttons do not ‘push down’ and the front panel of the door buttons are also not ‘pushable’. Appears they are broken or again just defective. So once again, I can’t even try it out to make a review in whether it works or the quality of it. I’m over it. Sending both back and going to remind myself not to by crap on Amazon.

I have lots of chicken’s so anything I can do to make my life and theirs easier it’s a plus. I already have a electrical chicken coop door. The cord gets unplugged randomly for whatever reason. Then the door isn’t working. I love the solar option with no long extension cord. Building another coop and adding this door for chickens!

We were excited to get this. Glad I tested it before I installed. We could not get the timer to work right. I ended up returning it.
