This thing needs to be plugged in to USB to run, no one is setting up their picnic table with a USB powerbank just to run this. Spend your money on the real ones with batteries that recharge, they actually work and don't need a cord and powerbank hauled around.

The fan works as intended. It does keep flying insects away from food or persons when outdoors. The base can sit flat on a surface, or the hanging piece can be pulled out of the base for the device to be suspended upside down. The strips are soft and won't hurt you if touched or bumped while in motion. Besides the air motion, they also have holographic rainbow reflective strips on the ends. My main gripe about this device (and there are many competitors on the market) is that there is no rechargeable battery built in! You either plug it in via USB-A to a wall socket (no plug included) or to a power brick, OR you use disposable batteries (they don't recommend rechargeable lithium batteries). I will do the former.

These types of fly fans really do work to keep flies away.It seems that it's made well. It has one speed, which is really all it needs. It's only meant to circle around and shoo the flies, and the blades also have holographic strips that disturb flies, especially if they are in the sun. It's made of plastic, and the fan blades are soft and flexible, so there is no danger of getting hurt. It can sit on a table or be turned upside down and hung by the handle on the bottom. It runs on disposable batteries, which I would never use, so I have no idea how long they last. Additionally, it can be powered with the included USB Type-A cable. In my opinion, there are a few cons. It isn't rechargeable; the only way it can be used cordless is with disposable batteries. Why didn't they just use rechargeable batteries? It comes with a USB Type-A cable without a block, but the worst part is that the cable is a special DC cable, so you have to be sure not to lose it. Lastly, I feel that it's overpriced for a single fan that lacks features found in other fans, and it might be wise to shop around.

I can not stand bugs flying into our plates during outdoor meals. This is the real deal! Great deterrent for flys and other bugs. It is quiet also. Highly recommend.

Works well to keep the flies and bugs from settling on the side table we set our drinks and snacks on when out on the patio. It's expensive compared to other brands, at the time of ordering it was $19 for one, when there are sets of two for less. Though, this one does appear to be more substantial and well made than those from the way the less expensive ones look in photos.
