I just ordered the CanoScan 8800F for $300. The software was not compatible with my new MacBook Air. I called Canon support and was informed there were no people to help and all was included on website. There was no help on the website. So I called Apple support. For 30 minutes we tried every possibility on both my computer and Canon.com website. Discovered that the last time software was updated was 2017 and the only version for Mac was 5 years old and not compatible with my computer. I am a very disappointed consumer. I thought the brand Canon and that it was new would be a safe and reliable choice. I was wrong. Now, I have to repackage the scanner to return it.
