About this item

  • Reproduction chrome rear shocks with the chrome sleeve for vintage Honda's from the 70's. These have 5 step preload adjusters just like the stock ones. Lower clevis type mount is threaded for M10 bolts. Upper eye mount already has the 14.5mm rubber bushing installed. These can be used on many of the Honda CB's and custom bikes! These look like the stock shocks for the models listed below. Remove one shock at a time and you can replace those rusty old shocks in minutes!
  • NOTE: Please measure your existing shocks prior to ordering so you know they'll work with your application. These shocks may need a washer on both sides of the bushing if there is any free play after flange nut is installed.

I purchased these for my 1986 Honda Elite 250 and followed the YouTube video from Mitch’s Scooter Stuff channel. I did the modifications he mentioned but found that the shrouds that cover the springs are now longer than they were in his video and were hitting the air box. I had to take a dremel to them with a grinding wheel to shorten these shrouds. Wasn’t a major deal but something you may want to do before mounting them on the scooter. Also the preload is very difficult to adjust but do-able with a wrench and flat head screw driver. The new shocks are not a night and day difference but definitely better than the original shocks.

These worked great for a shock swap on an Elite 150. You will have to do a little bit of drilling to make all the hardware fit, but they length wise they are a perfect fit.

Bolts right on to a 1985 CB450sc nighthawk. Really sift I’m only 150. But you get what you pay for.

Look original on my ‘70 Honda CL350 and feel very firm and a huge upgrade from 50year old ones. Not bad but couple issues...Small dent top of shroud luckily it’s on bike side and threads in one were stripped had to retap.

Great upgrade to stock shocks with minor modifications. Check out Mitch's scooter stuff on youtube for installation instructions.
