This is a POS. Too big to fit inside of the standard 4-pin round connector. Don't waste your money. Too much trouble to return for five bucks so in the garbage it goes.. Expected better from Curt Manufacturing.Update - Decided to grind down the outside of device for fun, and found that to be an ordeal, but once completed was able to mate in the connector but found that it did not make contact with the pins since the mating holes in the device were too large. My guess is that this adapter will only mate with a product from Curt Manufacturing and if that is the case it won't work with other brands. So much for interchangeability. One would think the manufacturer would tell you that. I wish I could subtract the one star since it is worse than I thought.

Saw some bad reviews, but for the price, and being just exactly what I needed, I took a chance and ordered five of them. So far could not be happier. I plan to keep one in each glove box, so that when I need to rent or borrow a trailer, I will use this to connect to other types of electrical systems. All my trailers are wired for a round four pin connector, so I won't need it for them, but this is just so convenient (and cheap) to be able to be so versatile on a moments notice. An added note, it surprised me with how heafty and solid it felt when I picked it up. It still might break easily, but it sure doesn't feel like it would.
