This controller has everything you need for independent control of a stepper motor. One neat thing that is not mentioned in the description is the stop/common circuit. If you connect a NC switch across the stop and common connections (small/difficult solder) the unit will start and operate with the switch in either position, but if you start with it in the NC position and then move it to open, it stops the unit - handy function for a trip detection circuit.

installed a nema34 stepper motor on my sewing machine. works fantastic. added a foot pedal switch for start and stop.

Works well just need 12v power supply and it drives a nema 17 stepper.

I'm using this to drive a stepper motor for an auto-feed on my milling machine. It was straightforward to hook up, and works very well for it's purpose.
