We followed the directions and put the ribbon as described around our baby trees. They did not deter the deer. Damage has been done, and they just eat around the ribbon knocking it around. We have tried lots of non fencing methods, noise chimes, hallograohic tape, cinnamon, blinking lights, hot sauce spray, peppermint spray, egg shells with coffee grounds, dogs, and this did not rate as well as the other methods. We live in a high deer population, as I suspect anyone who would need this product. Don’t bank on it working. I can’t return due to cutting the pieces and trying it. It was a waste of money for us. Buyer beware.

Last year, my husband and I installed a bunch of raised garden beds. We had a mix of cut flowers and vegetables. We live in the woods and unfortunately the deer thought the raised beds were a new buffet for them and ate all my dahlias and some of the hubby’s veggies. This year my dad told me about this ribbon that has helped him detract deer from getting into his garden. So this year after our flowers and veggies started coming up we strung some around and… We have not had any deer nibble on our plants! Would recommend! And it came from from a local business- bonus!

The deer have been eating our plants this year that they have never touched before. Even the deer resistant ones. Tried shaving Irish Spring, spraying with cinnamon, garlic, red pepper etc. So very happy with this coated deer ribbon. Put it on 6 different plants around the yard. Not ONE nibble after that. It's been over a month. Will be buying again.

This ribbon works as advertised. It nicely fits inside the plants and last few days. So far it has kept the bambis away! I actually ordered another one.

I added a few feet length to a small bush that deer had eaten the flowers off of. They didn't bother it the rest of the season. It IS sticky, wear gloves!

I heard about this product on the podcast "In the Garden with Ron Wilson" if any of you are familiar with it. It's brand new and I was skeptical but after hearing Ron Wilson recommend it, I thought I'd give it a try. I've tried so many other products I figured I had nothing to lose. I've been battling squirrels who are ruthlessly digging up my garden as the colder weather approaches.The product is a long, 150 ft "ribbon" that has some essential oils and feather meal stuck to it. You cut off however much you need of the ribbon, and in my case, put it on the ground around the plants. The smell is supposed to deter deer and from what I've read, squirrels are also deterred by the same smells as deer.It's been about 2 weeks since I applied this and low and behold, no more digging in my flowerpots! I'm in absolute awe!The best part about this stuff is that instead of having to respray every few days like you would with something like Liquid Fence, this lasts all season. You only have to put it down once.I'm sold on this product and will absolutely be using it again next year. I highly recommend this to anyone having trouble with squirrels digging up their flowerpots and gardens! I will definitely buy again.
