What a great little saw! Weights enough to keep it steady on a bench but is light enough to easily carry across the shop. I had to adjust the blade as it was slightly off of 90 degrees, but this was simple and it has stayed true ever since. The fence is a problem for some people, but I find it works very well and is very accurate once tweaked a little. The dust collection system is also something the other reviewers have complained about I think it works just fine as long as you hook it up to a powerful enough vacuum system. I changed the blade that came with it for a better quality Diablo and I couldn't be happier with the resultant rips and crosscuts. At this price point you can't go wrong with this saw.

This is a fantastic light weight table saw. I'm beyond impressed with its performance. With my Rigid vac connected it does a great job of capturing the dust and keeps the workspace clean. Blade runs true.Saw was completely on spec as delivered. I checked everything for alignment and accuracy and it was spot on.I swapped the original blade out right out of the gate for a Frued and it lays out razor sharp edges ready for glue. I used this to build a kitchen island and peninsula where I needed to rip many pieces to specific sizes to get the look desired. I did not use it for cross cutting though as I have a Bosch 12" sliding saw for that.I have a Protocol stand to use with it that makes handling larger material easy and safe. Cutting 4x8 3/4 maple plywood was a bit of a stretch as it requires lots of support due to the reduced work surface of a portable saw but it did a great job non the less. The saw is very user friendly, the fence adjustment is so handy and easy to set and lock.Handles to carry the saw are well balanced and it is easy to lift and carry. I do not have a cart for it. Weight is just right. Heavy enough to be sturdy while remaining portable.

I bought this saw knowing that it was a starte sawfor my woodworking hobby. I waited for a while to write a review so that I could wait and see if any major flaws surfaced. I have not had any issues woth this saw yet. It has cut softwood with ease but also oak, maple and walnut with no issue. The fence system is accurate once assembled and adjusted as per the easy-to understand instructions. The blade has been effective so far. The guard system is nice, however it has to be removed for narrow cuts because it is so bulky. Thw push stick is handy but I suggest investing in a more specialized tool. The miter gauge is effective if used carefully but is the least impressive feature of this saw.Overall great saw and great buy. I probably can wait a lot longer than I planned to upgrade my table saw now because this is doing a great job.

This saw replaced a Ryobi table saw that was in use for over 15 years I felt it was a good saw and was quite impressive. It was a bit larger with a built in stand. It finally got to a point where I was frustrated with the performance I was getting from it. I reviewed the Dewalt DWE7480 for many weeks. I went to several Lumber suppliers to view the product in person and check prices. I was impressed with what I saw and really interested in the fence and he rack and pinion adjustment plus the fence lock system. If finally purchased it about a month ago. I have been using it to do some deck building and furniture construction. I am very impressed with the fence adjustment accuracy right on. The power of the saw and the vacuum port the way it is built really catches about 90 percent of the saw dust. The only down side is the arbor is to short to accept Dado blades although I see that there is one set of Dado blades that are compatible but only make I believe a 1/4 inch cut. I am sold on this Saw it is great.

This is a fine tool and very competitive in its class, but I have three issues with it. (1) It is a noisy devil. I have mine in the open, not enclosed in a cabinet, and in a garage with a bare cement floor. When I am up close to it, the noise levels exceeds 80dB, a dangerous level. I've tried several things to reduce the noise, including vibration damping pads under the feet and the use of Freud/Diablo blades, but no impact yet. I'll try zero-clearance table inserts soon, but so far I have to use earmuffs to make it safe to use. (2) The table, which appears to be some sort of composite material and not steel, isn't truly flat. At the throat of the blade it is .018 below the outer corners, and at the exit it is .016 low. It is bad enough that cuts are measurably out of square and the blade can only be aligned perfectly with the table on one side or the other, not both. (3) It can't be fitted with a set of dado blades, due to the short length of the blade arbor. I kick myself for not noticing this sooner in the reviews, but there it is. There is no way to fit another longer arbor, according to DeWalt tech support. There are other small issues, but nothing I can't work around. Over all I'm pretty happy with the saw. The rack and pinion fence is just great, the power is up to any common carpentry job I want to do, the blade guard system is easy to use and adjust, and the saw is light enough that I can move it around pretty easily even with everything I have hanging off of it. Dust collection took a little work to adapt to my older Porter-Cable vac, but the tech at Tidyvac.com, another Amazon seller, got an adapter for me with no problem.I highly recommend this tool.

I am not a contractor, I just do my own house projects and after having this saw for only a short time it has been worth the price. I just finished putting in a new wood laminate floor and had to modify some of the boards to connect into an existing floor. I was able to make precise cuts including consistently taking off 1/8" off the edge of multiple boards. The fence is very easy to use and locks and stays in place well. The fence can also be switched between the left and the right side quickly for different types of cuts. The saw is well put together and comes pretty much ready to use (with the exception of putting on a few pieces which is quick and easy). The size is great and very manageable. I am very happy with the purchase.

I purchased this saw for my son in law who is an apprentice carpenter. It is not the most expensive nor is it the least , but it is working for him in every day use and he loves it. As I am writing this he is sitting with me. I asked him to give me a few things that he likes and is there any down side. He told me the following: "The fence measures accurately it... is light and easy to move to and from the job site...it has all the power he needs to rip what ever he needs to rip... it is easy to replace the blade . Beginning to use it is easy and very intuitive." He said and I quote "I think it is awesome and I think it is the prefect saw." . As the purchaser I have a dewalt circular saw and I love it.The circular saw is is a great piece of machinery and I knew this table saw would be as well. The only down side is that if you want to rip a 48# piece of plywood you have to move the rip fence. But even that is easy to do .So...right price, right size, right weight, right accessories. You will not be disappointed.
