My use: Spearfishing. I have used this line about 6 times. The line has just enough buoyancy to float, and the clip ends sink about 5-8 feet, which for me is excellent. The line is clipped to my gun at one end and a float at the other. I have only hand-pulled this setup with fish less the 10 lbs. so there has not been a lot of pressure on this line. The clips are very light weight. Unless you re-rig with 4 inch swivel tuna clips, do not use this for hitting bigger fish. Use this for appropriate weight fish and you are good to go, if you get caught up on reef or kelp, remove it by hand. All things considered, great line for the price.

The 1/4" line is worthless and dangerous do not buy it unless you want to practice untangling it, potentially becoming entangled and/or drowning.the 3/8" line works well, check that out if you want to get a economical float line. It floats well, however, to well for my gun. It causes a Riffe E-55cm to float.Update3/26/2021:I repurposed this line for use with a crab pot, it works well for that.

What I needed. I cut off the swivel on one end to allow it to float better.
