These are the best, I’ve only had the running for a week now but you can see how many mosquitoes they’ve coughed already. Every evening there seems to be less and less bites. Can’t wait til they’ve been running a month +

Não faz o que alega. Moscas e mosquitos continuam bem vivos. Apanha muitas traças. Muito caro para o que é.

Arizona might be know for our hot temps but in the summer - especially when we get a good monsoon season - we get our fair share of mosquitos. And no matter how consistent you are with your screen doors they get inside the house - and with house plants about they have their chance to multiply…PROS: Simple light attractor - airflow spring loaded trap mechanism when shut off and no expensive bait needed. Moreover this unit is great to actively control those munching moths that are so interested in eating anything wool as well as No-See-Ums.With Mosquitos and No-See-Ums now being considered a vector of viral infection on top of pesky, pervasive piranha of the skies … this unit does a good job at all three of these pests - especially indoors.CONs: Out of doors - even if run with a timer for evening use only - the trap needs to be emptied - if not it can trap so many moths that the trap might not totally close when powered off.True to their copy the unit last about 3 years - where the failure turns out to be that they will not sell you a replacement bulb - so the attractor dims and its effectiveness in equal measure over that time.If they were more environmentally attuned company - they would consider the importance of NOT needing to buy new units and allow for the sak,e and replacement of the light - and if and if needed the fan motor. That said with the price (mostly due to market competition) now roughly 1/2 that of when we first purchased our first unit - they’re an even better investment than they were at first!

Mosquitoes aren't attracted to this trap. I even tried mosquito lure bait and the mosquitoes just aren't interested except for the lone one that gets too close and sucked in.The mosquito love my black colored puppy which makes me think they camp out in the grass lawn.I'm hopeful for the Spartan traps, dunks, and natural repellent grain. Maybe the dunks will kill enough to stop the breeding cycle.Btw, I read mosquitoes aren't attracted to the dynatrap light. This makes sense because the light breaksdown the CO2 which mosquitoes are attracted to.Spartan mosquito traps: After 1 month using a set of two spaced 75 feet apart 5.5ft of the ground in dense mosquito territory: Between the two traps: they caught zero mosquitoes, 5 ants, 6 spiders. Very disappointed. My area is home to about 10 different mosquito types.I also tried qty 2 Dynatraps (even with mosquito lure, they only caught the aimless mosquito which got too close to the suction fan; they didn't make an impact).I also tried planting citronella which doesn't do anything unless it's cut, processed, liquefied and applied to your skin; too much work.I'm hopeful for mosquito dunks in nearby pond, first batch/month didn't seem to do much; trying second batch.Next endeavor is to encourage dragonflies which eat mosquitoes or mosquito fish.Last resort is industrial spray backyard.Update:Attached photos after 2.5 months usage of two traps 100 feet apart in summer SC area with wooded backyard, grass, overflow pond.Spartan traps did nothing (embarrassment).Mosquito dunks: questionable results, not convinced.Powdered granular natural repellent is just short lived and not worth the cost.Next tests will be: increasing dragonfly population and propane driven repellent.

My main concern is always long term. Only the huge unit has replacement bulbs. This unit has a small light connected to a plastic ring tubing that reflects the light on top. Would be very simple to replace, as a small ballast , light and two wire connection ! Believe the light is an led and ballast maybe a reducing transformer to low voltage. First plugging in , I was convinced the bulb was dead, called maker and told to return for quicker response. Decided to step into dark room first; OH is does light ! Just cannot see in daylight ! Maybe a simple note in package to consumers about this would save a lot of returns ? So far catching tons on moths. (cause of garden blight)

This my not be as effective in every one else situation but it's worth the shoot. This method has worked for 4 out of 5 people I showed this to so I decided to share this method in hopes it helps others like it does for us!I used a garden flag holder and hung my trap and a fly catcher I got from the hardware store about 20-30ft from where we gather on the patio. We're from the west cost and just moved to the south where every living insect is 10 times bigger and just about everything bites here! For the first year we just would get eaten alive when we would just step outside for a smoke! Now after 2-3 days we have noticed no more bites the next day and while sitting on the patio I've my slef have noticed about 3-4 mosquitoes flying around us compared to the hundreds before! Behind my house is a saturated field that stays wet and is where these things are breeding. The city sprays but sense my little set up,it's been nice hanging out outside now😀 with the fly trap it attracts everything so eating on the patio is nice to finally be able to enjoy. The fly trap is really smelly so depending on the direction the wind is blowing you may have to move it around. Lol

The claim that this unit produces carbon dioxide (and hence ATTRACTS mosquitoes) is highly dubious. True, the units traps stray mosquitoes that venture near it. But so do other similar products that cost one-fifth of the price. Forget one-fourth acre, the unit is NOT effective over an area of 30 square meters in ideal conditions (operating at least two hours in complete ambient darkness without human presence). It certainly does not 'attract' mosquitoes, hence the claim that it produces carbon dioxide is suspect. It only traps stray mosquitoes that are attracted to it by its light -- at four or five times the cost of similar products that are just as effective.
