I keep wrapped candy in this for my husband (haven't tried freshly baked cookies in it yet because of our Texas 100 degree summer), and I was surprised at how well the top sealed. We had a "small" bug infestation that seemed to get into everything--ugh! But they never infiltrated my cute cookie jar. Plus everyone comments on how darling it looks on my countertop. Love it.

I bought this as a gift for Christmas for my cookie jar collecting grandma when I got it not only was it fully intact but it was more adorable than i thought the smile on my grandmas face when she opened it was the best she even already had a spot opened up to display it saying she had a feeling she would get a new jar thanks for the wonderful gift
