This was so great. A Pirate gift for the rest of the pirate gifts I got for a grandson. I think he will love this as he loves cups. This looks really great and I need to remind them to hand wash to keep it looking great.

I bought this as a fun gift for my boyfriend and we both loved it and he was using it to drink his coffee every morning. It is a sturdy mug but he did find where the smooth rim of the mug met the design it was rough on his mouth but he still loved it.....right up until about 2 1/2 weeks of use, he was draining the last of his coffee out of the mug and liquid that was not coffee also went into his mouth. At this point, he jumped up, spit everything out, expelled a tirade worthy of a pirate, hastened inside to wash out his mouth all the while making faces and going a little green. After I stopped laughing and we could look to see what happened it appears there is a spot where the inside metal was not completely sealed to the outside design and therefore when washed, soapy water got in and had accumulated and on this morning it was finally enough to come rushing out into his mouth. Needless to say, the mug was washed and put away only ever to be brought out again if one is going to be drinking with a straw. But we loved it while it lasted!
