The Exposed Tip sensing junction provides immediate response to dynamic temperature changes.The Exhaust Gas Temperature Probe is capable of surviving extreme vibration and heat up to 2300 degrees F (1300 degrees C). The EGT probe will fit most internal combustion engine exhaust systems from approximately .750 inch diameter up to about 4 inch diameter with nominal installation modifications. The EGT probe is 0.187 diameter (4.75 mm) with a 90-degree bend to accommodate tight mounting locations. An adjustable (316 Stainless Steel) 1/8 NPT compression fitting adapter is included. I use this on my Dodge Ram with the Cummins diesel. I am deleted and tuned using a MM3 Tuner. After 30k miles, my original probe died. I purchased this at about 1/3 of the cost of the MM3 OEM probe. It installed exactly the same way as the original one. I have noted that overall, above 1,000 degrees, this probe seems to read about 100 degrees low. Although...it is possible the OEM unit read a bit high! Anyway, it allows me to monitor what my EGT is running. On a performance engine, EGT is a vital component of engine management.I remain pleased with this and completed a 8,700 mile trip, pulling our camper, and the unit performed to my expectations. Very pleased.

Top notch looking product, packaged nicely and made in the USA. Never written a review on anything before, but I was never this impressed with a product. Have not installed it yet in my duramax but I am sure it will work as intended.

I bought this EGT probe to replace a failed one for my MM3 tuner. It is accurate and works perfectly. Just had to crimp on some small spade connectors and then it’s a direct replacement. Note - you need to use the fittings that come with this probe, your old fittings from your old probe will not work due to this probe diameter being slightly different diameter. This should work with the MM3, RaceMe, and Smarty touch tuners because I believe they are are all the same hardware.
