This 18-piece men’s 1920s Gatsby costume set’s a solid grab—vest, hat, and accessories that scream Roaring ‘20s style for themed parties. The fit’s good, true to size, and it’s comfy enough to wear all night without feeling stiff. The pieces look sharp, not cheap, with enough detail to pull off that vintage flair—felt like I stepped out of a speakeasy. Everything’s included to complete the look, no hunting for extras. Only small catch is the hat’s a tad snug if you’ve got a bigger head—takes a bit of breaking in. Elegant 18PCS Mens 1920s Gatsby Costume Outfits Vest and Hat Accessories for Roring 20's 30's Themed PartyThis costume accessory collection works together. The hat is backed with foam and has the appearance of a real newsboy cap. The big surprise is the metal folding cane. Vest appears well made. Everything else is more of "it looks good from a distance".

I wear waistcoats all the time, and the vest included in the costume is of very good quality -- good enough for normal evening wear. The snug cap is sporty and well made -- not just for looks. The matching ties and suspenders are also practical for evening dress. At my advanced age I sometimes require a walking stick, and the collapsible cane assembles quickly and supports my weight well. Again, not just for show.The fake moustaches and garters are a fun bonus for actual cosplay use. Excellent value.

This costume kit pleasantly exceeded my expectations in a few key areas, offering a level of quality above what I typically associate with “costume-grade” accessories. The standout items for me were definitely the hat and the cane.The hat, made of a polyester-cotton blend rather than wool, is surprisingly sturdy. While it doesn’t quite pass for an authentic wool scally cap, it still looks good and feels durable enough for daily wear if you wanted to go that route. The built-in elastic band allows it to fit a wider range of head sizes, and once stretched to fit mine, it actually felt more secure than some of my genuine hats in the same style. I wouldn’t hesitate to wear this hat out in weather where I’d rather not risk damaging a more expensive one.The cane was also a nice surprise. Unlike the flimsy plastic versions that typically come with costume kits, this one is metal and quite solid once assembled. It’s even adjustable, which is a huge bonus—especially for taller folks like myself.As for the other items:~ The bow tie is small and not very convincing, but serviceable for a costume.~ The suspenders are of surprisingly decent quality and could likely pass in a pinch for real accessories.~ The cufflinks and tie pins are very much costume quality, but that’s to be expected and they still do the job.~ The mustaches are the same familiar set found in many kits—clearly fake, but fun for comedic effect. I didn’t use them, as I’ve already got a real one.~ The stopwatch is a standard costume prop, good enough for party wear but not convincing up close.~ The vest was well-made and looked nice, though it didn’t fit me well enough to button up (to be fair, I’m quite a bit taller than average). For most people, it should fit just fine and look great. I got the largest size, XXL, and new there was a chance it wouldn't fit as I have a 52" chest. The measurements run small, I have a 42" waist and there is about a 6" gap between front vest sections. Plan to get 2 sizes larger than you need.~ The armbands were also a bit small for me but will likely fit others comfortably.~ I didn’t wear the thin straight tie, but the material looked decent and should work well for a costume.Overall, everything in the kit ranges from “good enough” to “surprisingly great.” Even the items I didn’t wear appeared well-made for their intended purpose. The hat, in particular, is a standout piece you might find yourself wearing long after the party ends. Definitely a worthwhile costume set for the price.
