For an upcoming Banned Books Week display here in the Library, we've been collecting a lot of "authoritarian" deco pieces, so this costume set fit right in to the plan.An interesting aspect of this accessory set is the inclusion of the checkered band on the hat, and the checkered tie - this is much more of a British policing style than American and adds a nice variety.For what is essentially a simple and fundamental set, the detail of each piece is very nice - metal cuffs bright and solid, badge embossed and silver and sharp, sunglasses properly dark and intimidating (a bit flimsy, but then again, its more about getting the "look" then the realness - "Respect my authoritah!"), both hat and tie are cloth and sturdy. The cheapest piece is the truncheon because it's a light and hollow plastic, but still detailed well enough to be clear and effective as a prop.Clearly play pieces and costume pieces but stylish enough to work for any party or roleplay activity.

This set is great because you can just wear a regular white collared shirt and black pants and then accessorize with this set and it looks like a complete expensive costume, without having to pay for clothes you won't wear again. The handcuffs are a bit wonky though and I'm not sure I would trust putting them on in case it doesn't come off easily. The pair I got has one ring that opens with the latch and then one that seems to open only with the key.

I love this costume it’s super cute! The had was hard to keep on so the fit wasn’t so great! Hand cuffs was super cheap! But overall fun! The glasses and badge was the best part of the set. Chain could’ve been a bit longer.
