It looks great but it doesn’t heat up our living room well. It takes about 20 min with this on and my central heat set to 67degrees for my living room (16x14)to feel cozy. On the plus side, the price is great, the flames are realistic enough, and the installation is easy if you measure everything yourself instead of relying on the manual. Seriously, don’t believe the measurements on the manual- there were inconsistencies with the size of the box needed for recessed wall installation. After measuring it ourselves we realized the dimensions in the manual were incorrect. This is for the 70 inch option.

We wanted a gas fireplace - but the ordinances and approvals in our county were insane. So we searched for an electric alternative, which I was opposed to at the beginning. This, however, is gorgeous. We did not put in the crystals as we like the "wood" imagery, but maybe some day I will add them. This multi spaced illusion fire is really superb compared to older electric versions. Add in the heater and it is perfect. Plus I set the temperature and it automatically comes on unlike the wood burning or gas fireplaces! Win Win!
