As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing not to like about these heads; if you tend toward jazz drumming, or just want something that sounds warm but focused (and will hold up to heavy playing, if needed), this is a great choice. The care that's put into this product is really impressive; it gets a musical tone with no special effort in tuning, has great endurance under big volume and in outdoor environments, and has great response with brushes. I should add, the textured surface has excellent longevity with brushes, as well (I have to use them frequently). By far, the best calfskin reproduction I've used- highly recommended!

These are fantastic heads on my cherry Craviotto's, it gives them a really deep sound, that I just love. My Crav's are from a couple of years ago. You just can't beat Cherry wood, and these heads really make them DEEP sounding! Fantastic.
