Great heating function.I used this as a replacement for a heating element which had become ineffective due to hard water buildup. There is a coating which is supposed to prevent this, but I will not be able to review this for quite some time unless it is ineffective.Install was easy as far as the element itself goes, though access is a little more tedious on an RV water tank as it requires removal of the propane gas inlet and the electrical cover for the element.A socket of sorts was included, which at first seemed gimmicky - but it worked very well and made the process much easier. I kept it just in case I need to change the element again and can't get a replacement with one included.Easy to install, effective replacement for RV water heater.

This replacement water heater element works perfectly in my Suburban 6-gallon electric water heater. The installation wasn't complicated and didn't require removing too much other equipment. The included wrench was very useful. I had a socket that was the right size, but the clearance around the element was too tight. The wrench worked perfectly, though I used channel-lock pliers on the wrench rather than a screwdriver through the hole.Find an online video for the RV you have if possible. You'll want to be sure you follow the right process and there may be different steps depending on your RV model. For my install, I had to remove a plastic cover and the two power leads into the element then I was able to unscrew the element. I reversed the process, connected the water to refill the tank (DON'T CONNECT ELECTRICITY UNTIL THE TANK IS REFILLED AND AIR CLEARED THROUGH KITCHEN FAUCET), turned the electricity back on, and had a full tank of hot water in about 30 minutes. The process was easy enough and the element works perfectly. Five stars from me!
