Soft and warm. Nice padded footbed. I could wear these socks everyday. I also appreciate the various size options. I do not like my toes cramped, so I sized up. I wear a Men's 9.5 and got an L.

Not as warm as I had hoped... 20 degrees at work and feet are still cold. Was hoping these would work well under duty boots but just not warm enough.

Knee-high, these outdoor socks are made from a combination of 41 percent Merino wool. 45 percent combed cotton, 9 percent polyester, 4 percent Lycra and 1 percent nylon. The size of this pair is stated to be for a male with shoe size 7 to 8 1/2 but they fit my female size 8 1/2 shoe size foot without being baggy and also fit the in-residence male’s size 10 shoe size foot comfortably so there is a lot of stretch.The socks are labeled Left and Right. Designed to protect areas of the foot while allowing moisture to wick away there is extra thickness woven into the foot, ankle and other areas easily identified where colored gray and orange on the body of the sock while the solid black portions are the thinnest.The orange ribbed band at the sock opening does not constrict but stays in place. The socks are machine washable although because of the wool and cotton content, cold water wash may be wise. Tumble dry on low heat. A good way to protect feet in boots without adding bulk. Functional and look great.

These socks fit very high on your calf. Depending on how long your legs are, they might reach to your knees! As wool socks go, they have a thinner feel than I expected. They come marked as a "right" and "left" sock, which really isn't necessary. The elasticity isn't particularly strong, so you might experience the socks sagging a bit.
