It does the job. The plastic is very flimsy but probably helps to keep it lightweight

Larger size, still floats in my 20 gallon tank, with plenty of room to spare ... Using it to isolate an aggressive Goldfish ... Inside has access to heated water, and oxygen aeration .... Just have to specifically add a dash of food into her "bubble"Time-out for angry fish, also good for pregnant females, though soon as Fry are born, you have to remove Mommy, because there is no buffer , and she'd eat the babiesI like the larger area than regular breeding baskets, gives more swimming area for exercise ... NOT a permanent home, as the space is too small to be humane for more than a temporary solution.
